Jacob Eason’s long-time trainer is impressed with how the freshman has transformed in a short time at Georgia.

Speaking to DawgNation, the trainer, Lavelle Durant, had big praise for Eason’s advancement in his throwing ability since arriving in Athens.

โ€œHeโ€™s blowing the old Jacob Eason out of the water right now,” Durant told the website. โ€œI havenโ€™t been as impressed at what Jacob can do throwing the football in a long time as I am right now. Probably ever.โ€

Here’s more of how Durant describes Eason’s development in the DawgNation piece:

Durant recently put the new-and-improved Eason through his paces across five workouts when the talented freshman crossed three time zones to return home to Washington.

โ€œWow,โ€ Durant said. โ€œThat was my honest reaction the first time I saw him. We called him โ€˜Skinnyโ€™ back then, but he isnโ€™t skinny anymore. He looks real good. Real real good. He was defined. He looked so different. So strong. Heโ€™s filling out his frame. Heโ€™s excelling on that eye test now. He just looks huge.โ€

Durant told DawgNation that Eason has reached 242 pounds, which is a major increase from the 211 pounds listed on Georgia’s springย roster. Eason’s goal is to play at 245 pounds this year, according to DawgNation.

The freshman is listed at 6-foot-5, but the DawgNation piece says Eason should be 6-6 when fall camp begins. That frame is impressive, especially for a young player.

Excitement should be building in Athens for what Eason could mean for the Bulldogs’ future.
