Jadan Baugh and the Florida Gators entered Saturday’s game against No. 7 Texas having lost two straight games after starting out 4-0. With the Longhorns coming off a loss to Oklahoma and the Gators coming in with a new quarterback, things were going to be tough for the Gators in Austin. However, it was an opportunity for Baugh to once again prove why he is one of the best running backs in the country.
Baugh delivered in a big way in the fourth quarter, as he scored to give the Gators a 10-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Through the first four weeks, Baugh was being looked at as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate, but he had a tough two-week stretch. Despite that, he is still putting up huge numbers, as his 12 touchdowns entering Saturday were tied for the most in the country, while his 672 yards were tied for 10th.
Baugh was on a mission Saturday, rushing for 91 yards and 1 touchdown on 25 carries to help Florida beat No. 7 Texas, 27-24.
