Losing Grimsley to a SEC foe would be a big blow for the Crimson Tide. Grimsley signed with Alabama in December and had been committed to the Tide since July of 2023.
Grimsley is a 4-star cornerback. He’s considered to be the No. 189 overall player and the No. 17 cornerback in the country for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 24 player from the state of Florida.
Alabama has lost numerous key players to the transfer portal since Nick Saban decided to retire. The list includes 2023 starters Caleb Downs and Kadyn Proctor. Grimsley is the first 2024 signee to depart the program since Saban’s retirement.
Grimsley is from Tampa, Fla. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds.
