Jarred Vanderbilt provides update on his injured ankle ahead of NCAA Tournament

Kentucky F Jarred Vanderbilt missed the Wildcats’ run to the SEC Tournament title with an ankle injury, but he’s hoping to play in the NCAA Tournament.
However, the Wildcats will likely need to win two games before the talented rebounder will be able to return to the court.
On Wednesday in Boise, Vanderbilt said his ankle is about 70 percent healthy at the moment, meaning he likely won’t be able to play until the second weekend of the tournament:

Coach John Calipari echoed the freshman’s sentiments, saying it’s a tough decision, but one that needs to be made for the good of the team:

Even without Vanderbilt, Kentucky has been hot as of late. They’ll be a tough out in the tournament, but a potential matchup against Arizona looms large in the second round.
