Jarrett Stidham may have been the man on The Plains this time last fall but in New England, he’s just another rookie until further notice.

The former Auburn quarterback and rookie Patriot found that out the hard way this week as veteran quarterbacks Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer have given Stidham a new look heading into the season.

While some may think this is mean-spirited, in reality, this type of hazing is all part of embracing a newcomer to the team and the way Stidham has been performing on the field this preseason, there’s a chance the former Auburn signal-caller has a real future in New England.

In three preseason games, Stidham has completed over 69 percent of his passes for 506 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
