Tennessee wasted no time taking the lead over UConn on Saturday.
The Vols needed just 2 plays to get into the endzone as running back Jaylen Wright exploded for an 82-yard run to score on the second play of the game. The touchdown gave Tennessee an early 7-0 lead over the Huskies in the Vols’ homecoming game.

On the next drive, Tennessee’ defense forced a quick 3 and out and now the Vols are looking to take a 2-score lead early.
The Vols are coming off a win over Kentucky last week and they are looking to keep up the momentum heading into a tough November slate. Tennessee has a pair of tough games ahead against Missouri and Georgia, and a dominant win over the Huskies would give the Vols some confidence and momentum heading into the stretch.
