Here’s what Florida coach Jim McElwain said after his team’s 21-3 win Saturday night at Missouri:
On how the Gators played:
โWe didnโt play great by any stretch of the imagination, but Iโm proud of them.โ
On the defensive performance:
โI gotta tell you I was really proud of (the defense). We didnโt play with great energy.ย Sometimes you gotta win games that way.โ
On his assessment of the team halfway through the season:
โI donโt know where weโre at, weโll find out next week.โ
Mac on #Gators: "[We] showed something. It's hard playing here. … We held serve and took off from there defensively."

McElwain to @bradyack: "Unbelievable road win. … People will pick this apart, but I'd rather be bad and get a win than be bad and lose."

Jim McElwain's first word when asked about Leonard Fournette: "Wow."

Mac: 'It wasnโt pretty by any stretch of the imagination. Weโre going to enjoy it. Sometimes in this business you have to win like this.'

Mac on Grier: 'I thought he got spooked. I didnโt think he played very good.' Happy he did not turn it over tho
