Jimbo Fisher responds to question about lack of 2nd-half touchdowns

Jimbo Fisher’s team has struggled to put points on the board in the second half recently.

The Aggies have not had a second-half touchdown in the second half in any of their last 3 games. While they have managed to get a few field goals, the lack of touchdowns could be concerning.

On Saturday, Texas A&M couldn’t manage a second-half touchdown against South Carolina on Saturday, only producing 3 field goals on their trips to the redzone.

Fisher is not concerned about his lack of touchdowns. He explained in his press conference Monday that he was just short of connecting on a touchdown on Saturday, but a penalty brought it back. He does think the Aggies could be better in the second half, but it’s not his first concern for the tam.

“Could we have thrown the ball and done some things… once it got inside 5 minutes, we wanted to eat clock and take the game as we went and we were able to kick field goals,” Fisher said. “I thought we played well the second half offensively down there, wish we would’ve got touchdowns… I like what we did and how we did it, so keep getting better.”
