The Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl is being renamed and will have a football legend as its host.

The bowl game, which takes place in SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, will now be called the LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk. The game features the Mountain West’s No. 1 selection versus the Pac-12’s No. 5 selection, after the College Football Playoff selection. This year’s game will take place Saturday, Dec. 16th at 4:30 p.m. PST.

If the season ended today, the game would feature the Mountain West’s Air Force versus the Pac-12’s Utah, but there is still plenty of football to be played before the season is done.

Last season, the game featured the Mountain West’s Fresno State vs. the Pac-12’s Washington State.

The game will be hosted by Rob Gronkowski, who is a Pac-12 alumni. He played 2 seasons at Arizona, when the conference was still the Pac-10, before going on to play 11 years in the NFL. While at Arizona, Gronkowski recorded 1,197 yards and 6 touchdowns.
