Joel Klatt knows that Florida could very well give Georgia a challenge on Saturday in Atlanta.

The problem is the inconsistency of the Gators this season, FOX Sports’ lead college football analyst noted. They’ve accumulated some key wins but have had some equally puzzling losses.

“I don’t know what Florida team is going to show up,” Klatt said on his “Joel Klatt Show” podcast. “Is it the team that has wins against Ole Miss and Texas, or the team that has losses against Missouri and South Carolina, you know? Like, I don’t know.”

Part of the concern could be around who starts at quarterback for Florida, Klatt added. Jon Sumrall has yet to name a starter against the Bulldogs. In fact, both Tramell Jones and Aaron Philo are listed as questionable on the SEC‘s availability report.

One player that is sure to play a part: Jadan Baugh.

“I think Florida has to run the football. They’re not going to sit there and throw it. I don’t think they can be an independent throwing team. They’ve got to be able to run first. And if you’re telling me that this is a trenches game, they’re not going to win a trenches game with Georgia,” Klatt said.

He did give kudos to the Gators’ defensive line, though.

“Their defensive line has gotten after it. You look at that Texas game, they had five sacks and 11 TFLs in that game … so they might make things a little bit more difficult on Georgia,” he said.
