Joel Klatt reveals first-round NFL mock draft, filled with SEC players

Joel Klatt released his Mock Draft 1.0 on Monday morning following the Super Bowl, and his board is littered with SEC players.
We’re still a little over 2 months away from the 2026 NFL Draft on April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but it’s never too early to start mock drafting how the first round will turn out. In Klatt’s 1.0 Mock Draft, 9 SEC players are selected in the first round, with 3 of them being top 15 picks.
In terms of draftees by team, Tennessee and Alabama are tied at the top with 2 mocked in the first round. South Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn each have 1.
