Week 5 was one of the most exciting weekends of the 2025 college football season so far. FOX analyst Joel Klatt revealed his new top 10 on Monday.

Klatt had previously revealed Ohio State, Oregon and Miami were his top 3 teams. On Monday, he revealed that Texas A&M slots at No. 4. The Aggies were one of 5 SEC squads to make the list.

Here is Klatt’s latest top 10:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Oregon
  3. Miami
  4. Texas A&M
  5. Texas
  6. Ole Miss
  7. Indiana
  8. Alabama
  9. Penn State
  10. Georgia

Klatt’s decision to rank Texas at No. 5 stands out, particularly with the absence of Red River rival Oklahoma in the top 10.

“At No. 5, I’ve got Texas. It’s a little higher than others out there,” Klatt acknowledged, “but Texas can still play great defense. I do think Arch (Manning) is going to continue to improve.”

As for A&M being the top SEC squad, Klatt pointed to how the Aggies have won their biggest games so far.

“Here’s what I love about A&M,” Klatt said. “They’ve won two totally different styles of game. They won a shootout in South Bend over Notre Dame. Then they win a slugfest against Auburn at home in which their defense was tremendous and held Auburn to 0 for 13 on third down. So now I know that they’ve got some balance as it relates to how you can win a football game.”

More from Klatt on his top 10 can be heard in the clip below from his podcast:
