John Calipari did not do his customary postgame radio interview following Kentucky’s 103-92 loss to Tennessee on Saturday night.
Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones shared that assistant coach Orlando Antigua would do the interview instead. Antigua stepped in for Calipari following Kentucky’s 2nd straight home loss and 3rd defeat overall in its last 4 games.

Calipari did meet with reporters after the loss. It’s been a disappointing stretch for the Wildcats, who went 0-2 this week and are now just 5-4 in SEC play. Kentucky is now 3 games behind league-leaders Alabama and might already be out of the SEC title picture for this season.
This was the first time this season that Kentucky has given up more than 100 points in a game. All 5 Tennessee starters scored in double figures while Zakai Zeigler and Josiah-Jordan James both poured in 26 points each.
Kentucky now ranks No. 27 nationally in KenPom and will likely take a tumble down the AP Top 25 when the new poll is released on Monday. The Wildcats were No. 10 last week before dropping games to Florida and Tennessee.
UK will have a chance at redemption on Tuesday against Vanderbilt on the road.
