John Campbell Jr. takes his restaurants seriously, and that includes where he decides to play college football.
The Miami transfer explained that Waffle House was on his mind when he considered the school he left, and where he decided to play this season.
“I wasn’t sure I like Tennessee, I’m from Florida, coming to Tennessee, I thought it was going to be flat land here, like even when I was taking my (official visit) I don’t know, like, do I want to come out here and see it. I just went in and did it, came out here. It’s a city? It looked cool, you feel me? The food good, like they got Waffle House, that’s a place I like. At the U. there wasn’t really no Waffle House. It was like 40 minutes away. No, I really like it here.”
Campbell added that the All-Star is his go-to Waffle House order, but there is a secret menu item called a waffle sandwich.
