New Florida football coach Jon Sumrall has already weighed in on his favorite Florida uniform combinations and now is ranking the Gatorsโ€™ most hated rivals.

Sumrall recorded elements with CBS Sports analyst and former Alabama great Damien Harris in which Harris asked the former Tulane and Troy coach about four notable Florida rivals โ€“ while somehow leaving out Tennessee โ€“ and asking Sumrall to rank them.

โ€œYou probably have to start with Florida State,โ€ Sumrall said. โ€œThen I think Georgia has gotta be No. 2 โ€“ thatโ€™s kind of 1A and 1B, I donโ€™t know if there really is a No. 1. They are both ones. The other two you can mix them up.

โ€œMiami is in our state but we donโ€™t play them every year, so maybe less of a direct rivalry. And LSU is no longer on permanent crossover deal, but still a pretty high-intensity game. The first two are pretty easy. The last two you can mix them up a little bit for me.โ€

Sumrall gets his first taste of Florida-Georgia on Oct. 31 in Jacksonville and then takes on Florida State in Tallahassee on Nov. 27. Neither Miami, LSU nor Tennessee are on the Gatorsโ€™ 2026 schedule โ€“ which begins Sept. 5 at home vs. Florida Atlantic.
