The Arizona Cardinals picked up Josh Dobbs ahead of the start of the season in order to have a suitable starting quarterback as Kyler Murray worked his way back to 100%.
Now with Murray nearing a return, Dobbs time as starting quarterback could be up soon.
While Dobbs would obviously like to remain the starter, he is taking a positive approach and welcoming Murray back. He knows that even if he isn’t the starter, he can still be a productive teammate and continue to learn.
โIย stay true to me,โ Dobbs said. โIโm excited to see Kyler come back. I have watched his game from afar for a while. Itโs cool to meet him and be in the same room as him and be around him. When [the return] happens, I control what I can control and absorb whatever role that puts me in and go from there. Itโll be OK. Iโll manage it, heโll manage it, weโll be fine.โ
Dobbs has put together a solid season as the Cardinals starter, racking up 549 yards and a pair of touchdowns. On Sunday, he picked up his first win as an NFL starter, defeating the Dallas Cowboys.
