Injuries are an unfortunate part of football practice. Alabama is certainly dealing with the injury bug during fall camp.
Speaking with the media after Thursday’s scrimmage, Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer shared that Lotzeir Brooks is dealing with an injury.
โLotzeir missed a couple practices and did not scrimmage today, and will just be out for a few more practices, I would expect,โ DeBoer said. โDonโt expect him to miss any games or anything like that, so he did not practice today.โ

While injuries are never good news, it’s encouraging that DeBoer does not expect Brooks to miss any game time. The 2026 season is getting close, but UA is still 3 weeks out from taking the field on Sept. 5 to face East Carolina.
Brooks was a key piece in Alabama’s passing attack last season and is expected to take on a bigger role this fall. He played in 14 games as a freshman, logging 32 catches for 441 yards and 2 touchdowns.
