Kalen DeBoer addressed the fluid roster at Alabama during a visit with Pat McAfee and shared that the current Crimson Tide players will be the “heart and soul” of the 2024 team. DeBoer admitted that this roster will be the most talent he’s ever had on a team. “No question,” he said.
“They’re the heart and soul, they’re the ones that are going to bring this whole thing to life,” DeBoer said. “The guys that are with us right now, they have just sunk their teeth in at another level. They’re hard at it with the workouts, it’s going extremely well.”
DeBoer admitted that there was a time of uncertainty, but the staff has calmed things down ahead of spring practice.
“The core of our team is right here and they have a chip on their shoulder,” he said. “They want to win that national championship. They had it right there in their grasp and these guys are already turning the page and moving on and excited about what our new staff is going to do building on what Coach Saban has done here for many years.”
