Kalen DeBoer and Alabama are dealing with some adversity, as the Crimson Tide have now lost two consecutive games after they lost to Tennessee, 26-10, on Saturday. The Crimson Tide weren’t able to bounce back from the loss to Georgia, and the offense was stymied in the loss to the Volunteers.
This is the first time since 2013 that Alabama has lost consecutive games, which included the ‘Kick-6’ and a Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma.
Last year, fans were frustrated with the Crimson Tide midway through the season, but they responded. DeBoer will look for that to be the case this year, and he talked after the game about what his message will be to the team.
“We’ve been through this before, and we’ve gotten it done,” Kalen DeBoer said. “We’ve got to make sure we get it done here moving forward. I told the guys this is the team that can do it.”
While it might be frustrating for fans, Saturday was one of the wildest weeks in a long time. Besides Alabama, Georgia and Texas also lost. Notre Dame and Miami are also in dogfights against underdogs.
This is the new college football, where there is going to be more chaos every weekend than ever before. DeBoer certainly hopes that Alabama will be able to get the team back on track and make it to the College Football Playoff. He will look to get that started next week against Texas A&M at home.
