Kamario Taylor leads Mississippi State to comeback win over South Carolina

Kamario Taylor had been one of the most talked-about players to start the 2026 season, as he helped Mississippi State get off to a 2-0 start heading into the Week 3 road game against South Carolina.
Things couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start, as the Bulldogs were down 16-0 in the second quarter. However, Taylor showed the ability to lead his team back from a deficit, as he threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns to get the 41-34 comeback victory.
Taylor did a great job of distributing the ball to his receivers, as eight receivers had at least one catch. Zion Ragins had two catches for 61 yards and one touchdown.
The Bulldogs also got a big performance from running back Fluff Bothwell, who ran the ball 21 times for 115 yards.
Jeff Lebby has done a great job as the coach, and the Bulldogs have made progress in each season with him as the coach. Last season, the Bulldogs were in a ton of SEC games, but they found ways to lose in those moments. Saturday night was a step in the right direction, as Mississippi State was the team that was making the plays late in the game to get the win.
Up next for the Bulldogs is a home game against Missouri with the chance to move to 4-0 on the season.
