Kansas City Chiefs make roster move for Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Clyde Edwards-Helaire will miss at least 4 games as the Kansas City Chiefs have placed the former LSU running back on injured reserve.
Edwards-Helaire suffered an ankle injury in the Chiefs’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, and didn’t return after he had 2 carries for 9 yards in the first half.
Coach Andy Reid told reporters earlier this week that it didn’t look good.
“He’s a tough kid, but it doesn’t look good,” Reid said of Edwards-Helaire’s injury, per Arrowhead Pride. “High ankle sprains on running backs aren’t always the best. We’ll see how he does in his recovery here. It’s pretty tender right now, yeah.”
Edwards-Helaire has only had 1 game this season of at least double-digit carries, and overall, he has 71 carries in 10 games for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Chiefs are likely to give rookie Isiah Pacheco, who played at Rutgers, the bulk of Edwards-Helaire’s carries in his absence.
