Kentucky basketball assistant coach KT Turner is leaving the program to take a head coaching job, according to a report.
Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Turner is leaving Lexington to take the head job at UT Arlington. Turner spent 1 season on John Calipari’s coaching staff.

Turner was hired last year for his recruiting ties in the state of Texas. He helped the Wildcats sign the No. 1-ranked class in the country for 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Turner previously coached at Oklahoma, Texas and SMU over the last decade.
According to The Athletic’s Kyle Tucker, Turner will finish out the 2022-23 season with Kentucky.

The Wildcats earned a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament this season. They are set to face Providence in the 1st round of the tournament this week.
