The Kentucky Wildcats hosted the struggling Ole Miss Rebels at Rupp Arena on Wednesday night, hoping to keep their winning streak going.

Though the Rebels closed the gap to three points midway through the second half, coach John Calipari’s squad proved to be too much to handle, as the Wildcats cruised to an easy 96-78 victory.

Leading the way for the Wildcats was freshman sensation Kevin Knox, who had 22 points and four rebounds. Quade Green had 18 points off the bench and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (17 points and 10 assists), Wenyen Gabriel (15) and P.J. Washington (10) also scored in double figures in the victory.

For Ole Miss, junior G Terence Davis led all scorers with an impressive 26 points, but it wasn’t enough to help the Rebels overcome their powerful foes.

With the win, Kentucky now has a four-game winning streak, improving to 21-9 overall and 10-7 in SEC play. The ‘Cats close the season on Saturday with a game at Florida. That game could decide a top-four seed in the conference tournament, so it’ll be one of the most-important games of the day.
