Every year, there’s turnover on coaching staffs in college football.
Now that staffs are becoming much larger with new off-the-field roles, turnover will only increase, especially if you have one “Nick Saban” on your resume.
According to FootballScoop, Alabama’s associate AD for football Ed Marynowitz isn’t expected to return to the team in 2018. That report followed up a tweet by longtime NFL personnel Michael Lombardi regarding Marynowitz, saying that Marynowitz is talking to the Raiders about a position. He previously worked for the Dolphins and Eagles.
With his current position, Marynowitz is key to the Alabama staff, as he works with the team’s player personnel department and football operations while assisting with athletic administration, according to his bio on the team’s website. He originally joined Alabama’s staff in 2008 and has been instrumental in helping the Tide land No. 1 recruiting classes.
Alabama has already lost DC Jeremy Pruitt to Tennessee and DBs coach Derrick Ansley to Colorado State.
Hearing Alabama AD for recruiting Ed Marynowitz is talking to the Raiders and Jon Gruden about a position in their personnel department.
