Georgia defeated Western Kentucky 70-20 on Saturday. Kirby Smart, however, wasn’t happy in his postgame press conference.

The Bulldogs wore a special all-white uniform at home for the Week 2 game. When Smart was asked about going with the all-white look again, he said it’s a no if the alternate unis were going to make the Dawgs play the way they did in the second half on Saturday.

The first half was all Georgia. UGA led 49-6 at the break with an advantage of 343-63 in total yardage. Smart’s Dawgs outscored WKU 21-14 in the second half, but the Hilltoppers did win the yardage battle 162-150 over the final 2 quarters. Western Kentucky was also better on 3rd down in the second half, going 5-of-10 to UGA’s 2-of-6 showing.

Overall, it was a banner day for the Dawgs. Gunner Stockton needed to throw just 16 passes to record 234 yards 5 TDs thrown to 5 different receivers. Georgia had 3 rushing scores, led by backup QB Ryan Puglisi’s 70-yard touchdown run in which he went untouched.

The UGA defense held WKU to 18-of-37 passing for a miserable 115 passing yards with 1 touchdown to 2 interceptions. WKU managed 110 rushing yards, but needed 37 carries to get there.

Now 2-0, No. 2 Georgia will gear up for SEC play. The Bulldogs will play at Arkansas for their first conference contest of the 2026 season.
