Kyle Trask deflects praise following epic performance vs. Georgia’s defense: ‘I think we can play with anybody’

Regardless of the caliber of defense in front of him, Kyle Trask continues to torch opponents this season.

Following Florida’s 44-28 win over Georgia on Saturday, Trask was asked about his latest big performance.
“Felt amazing. I think we can play with anybody. We have so many weapons,” Trask said after the game. “We spoke this into existence, we said it all week. We came out, we executed and we got the victory.”
The Florida QB was then asked if he’s putting up numbers to be put into Heisman Trophy discussion.
“I’m just trying to do what I can for this team. That’s just a representation of how well and efficient this offense is working,” Trask added. “Our linemen are blocking their tails off, our receivers are getting wide open for me. I’m just doing what I can to execute.”
When asked how tough it was to respond to losing Kyle Pitts, the Florida tight end suffered a nasty hit to the head that was flagged for targeting. Pitts failed to return to the game following the hit.
“We have so many weapons, it’s really tough for defenses on matchups,” Trask continued. “We just came out and executed and got the job done.”
Trask may have deflected all praise after this game but if he keeps this pace up, he’ll likely end his season in New York as one of the select few chose as finalists for the Heisman Trophy.
