Kylin Hill draws praise for helping spur change in Mississippi’s state flag; sends tweet regarding decision

Big change is coming to the state of Mississippi moving forward, as the state legislature voted to remove the Confederate emblem from the state flag.
This comes after Mississippi State RB Kylin Hill tweeted earlier this week that he’d have nothing to do with the state until it changed the flag. The SEC and other conferences followed suit, saying the state wouldn’t be allowed to hold sanctioned conference-wide athletic events (like tournaments) until changes were made.
On Saturday, the vote passed the Mississippi House and a new flag will officially be decided on moving forward:

If you From Mississippi you felt this one ❤️ ??

Others have taken to Twitter to praise Hill for using his platform as a top college athlete in order to help promote change:
June 18: The SEC says they’ll pull championships out of Mississippi if flag isn’t changed.
June 22: Kylin Hill tweets he won’t play for State until the flag changes.
June 25: Coaches lobby at the Capitol.
June 27: MS house and senate vote to change the flag.
