Jaxson Dart led Ole Miss on a drive late in the game that ended up being the game-winning drive for the Rebels, but his nerves didn’t leave after seeing the ball cross into the endzone.

After Ole Miss’ 38-35 win over Texas A&M, Lane Kiffin shared the hilarious interaction he had with his starting quarterback on the sideline as Texas A&M looked to make a game-winning or game-tying drive.

โ€œEven Jaxson came off and was like, โ€˜We scored too fast.โ€™” Kiffin said in his postgame press conference. “Iโ€™m like, โ€˜Can you be positive, please?โ€™ And then heโ€™s like, โ€˜Theyโ€™re going to make the kickโ€™ and Iโ€™m like, โ€˜Can you be positive?โ€™ Finally after the game he goes, โ€˜Alright Iโ€™ll stop being negative.โ€™โ€

It’s hard to blame Dart for his high-strung attitude on the final drive. The quarterback had put together an outstanding game with 387 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he didn’t want his big game spoiled by a loss. Ole Miss is also looking to make a late push for the SEC West title, and it couldn’t afford a loss to the Aggies.

Now Ole Miss has confidence and momentum on its side as the Rebels prepare to take on Georgia next week.
