Lee Corso has made his pick for 2023 national champion.
Corso and Kirk Herbstreit talked the College Football Playoff during their pre-show chat ahead of Saturday’s “College GameDay” in Pasadena.
“I have Texas. I picked Texas to win it all,” Corso said when Herbstreit asked for thoughts on the Texas-Washington game in the Sugar Bowl.
Corso noted that Washington enters the CFP semifinal having won close in its last 4 games. When it came to the Rose Bowl, Corso did not hesitate.
“I pick Michigan,” Corso said. “Michigan has the best balanced offensive team that Alabama has faced in a long, long time. Quarterback can throw it, and the line, the offensive line is so special.”
Corso confirmed that in a Texas-Michigan National Championship, he’s going with the Longhorns.
The CFP semifinals are set for Monday, New Year’s Day, starting with the Rose Bowl at 5 p.m. ET and the Sugar Bowl to follow at 8:45 p.m. The winners will meet in the National Championship in Houston on Jan. 8.
We’ll see how Corso’s picks hold up against the outcomes.
“Do I get extra pay for this??” ???
