Leonard Fournette’s jersey to be auctioned off to benefit South Carolina flood relief
Leonard Fournette promised to give back to the South Carolina community, which was ravaged by historic flooding last month.
Fournette and LSU football will begin a charity auction on Saturday at 7 a.m. local time with all proceeds going to South Carolina’s flood relief fund. The jersey Fournette wore in last month’s win over the Gamecocks will be part of a memorabilia package that includes helmets signed by Les Miles and Steve Spurrier.
โHaving been through a similar situation with my family during Hurricane Katrina when I was 10 years old, this is something that I wanted to do to help those in need,โ Fournette said. โThe generosity of people helped my family make it through Hurricane Katrina. Iโm hopeful that the money raised with this auction can make a difference for those flood victims in South Carolina.โ
Fournette will sign his game-worn jersey.
Fournette jersey auction also includes @LSUCoachMiles signed helmet (white) from game & Spurrier signed helmet from what was his final game.
