The Florida Gators were absolutely embarrassed on Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville, losing to the Georgia Bulldogs 42-7 in embarrassing fashion.
Rumors about coach Jim McElwain’s future with the team have been swirling all day, and more fuel was just added to the fire with the loss.
However, the embattled coach seemed to be taking things in stride, based on this photo of him walking off the field in the aftermath of the loss:

The latest reports say that the Florida administration is weighing whether or not it can fire McElwain with cause, which would be a huge development in this strange saga.
With all the drama in Gainesville, maybe McElwain is smiling because he knows he won’t have to deal with it much longer.
However, the Gators are now 3-4, so if something doesn’t change soon, Mac will indeed be looking for a new job soon, whether it happens on Sunday or not.
