LOOK: Pumpkin carving depicts Rashaan Gaulden’s obscene gesture at Alabama

You probably can’t find this stencil at your local big box retailer leading up to Halloween. But someone has taken a memorable play from the Alabama-Tennessee series and cut it out of a pumpkin.
It’s a gesture that Alabama and Tennessee’s probably haven’t forgotten about from the 2017 season.
Tennessee DB Rashaan Gaulden made the obscene gesture following a 97-yard touchdown pick-six against Alabama, as he directed it toward Crimson Tide fans in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The touchdown was a rare positive play for Tennessee in a 45-7 loss to the Crimson Tide. It was the Vols’ first touchdown in 12 quarters of play. Tennessee trailed by three touchdowns, and Gaulden was flagged 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct after the play.
Speaking to reporters from a podium after the game, Gaulden issued an apology. Gaulden said what he did was out of character and not how his parents raised him.
“It’s not how a leader of a team should show their emotion on the field,” he said. “I really sincerely apologize to the student section of Alabama for disrespecting them.”
