LSU and Auburn are both on the shortlist for 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho.

Iheanacho released his list of 4 finalists on Friday, with both LSU and Auburn making the cut alongside Big Ten foes Oregon and Penn State. Iheanacho is one of the very best high school prospects in the country regardless of class or position.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett broke the news of his top-4 on Friday afternoon:

Iheanacho is the No. 6 overall player in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also regarded as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in this class.

Iheanacho attends Georgetown Preparatory School in Baltimore, Maryland. You don’t often see SEC programs recruiting that region unless it’s for an elite talent, and Iheanacho certainly fits the bill. Ahead of his senior season of high school football, Iheanacho has offers from virtually every top program in the country.

Iheanacho has already taken a visit to LSU earlier this spring and is scheduled to arrive at Auburn for an official visit this weekend.

LSU currently has the No. 9-ranked recruiting class in the country for the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Auburn is off to a slower start with just 7 commits so far, but that’s expected to change in the coming weeks and months.

There is no timetable for Iheanacho to make his commitment.
