The No. 3 LSU Tigers are set to kick off their loaded SEC slate this Saturday against the Florida Gators under the lights in Death Valley, and they’ll be hoping to get a bit of revenge from last season.
A big piece to any potential win for the Tigers, though, will be their ability to impose their will up front on offense, and junior center Braelin Moore will be crucial to any success LSU has along the offensive line.
Moore, who joined the Tigers this past offseason after spending 3 years with the Virginia Tech Hokies, left last weekend’s contest against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs early with an ankle injury, and his status for this Saturday had been up in the air because of it.
According to LSU insider Wilson Alexander, though, Moore’s status just gained a bit more clarity, as head coach Brian Kelly gave a positive update on his offensive anchor.
Per Alexander, Kelly told reporters on Wednesday that Moore went through practice on Tuesday, is expected to practice again on Wednesday, and could be listed as probable on Wednesday night’s first availability report.
All of this represents a positive turn in events for both Moore and the Tigers, and points towards his return this Saturday being more probable than not.
Kickoff between the Tigers and Gators is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. LSU is a 7.5-point favorite in the game, per BetMGM.
