LSU commit Zion Ferguson will visit North Carolina in March.
Ferguson announced that news on Thursday morning. He’s been committed to the Tigers since September of 2022.

Ferguson is a 4-star prospect in the class of 2024. He is currently ranked as the No. 265 overall player and the No. 21 cornerback in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Ferguson attends Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot, 161 pounds. He also has offers from programs like Penn State, Auburn, Michigan and Clemson, amongst others.
North Carolina may be able to offer Ferguson something that LSU can’t: a shot at early playing time. The Tar Heels’ pass defense has struggled mightily in recent years. They have a new cornerbacks coach this season who is presumably eager to add someone as talented as Ferguson to UNC’s depth chart.

LSU is off to a strong start in the class of 2024. The Tigers already have commitments from 8 prospects. Overall, the group ranks No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
