On Monday, it was reported that LSU DL Neil Farrell, who opted out of the 2020 season a few weeks ago, was expected to opt back in.

We’ve seen that move already in the SEC, as Vanderbilt LB Dimitri Moore opted back into the season recently.

After that report surfaced, Farrell took to Twitter on Monday afternoon and seemed to indicate he was ready to get back on the field with his teammates:

That’s great news for new LSU DC Bo Pelini and the Tiger defense, as Farrell is projected to be a key starter this fall.

In 2019, Farrell recorded 46 tackles (7 for a loss) and 3 sacks. He also forced a fumble.
