It’s make-or-break for Lane Kiffin and LSU‘s College Football Playoff chances when they visit Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday to face the Auburn Tigers, and the Bayou Bengals are receiving some reinforcements for the trip.

On Wednesday’s initial availability report, LSU star tight end Trey’Dez Green has not been listed, implying he is ready to play for the first time since Week 3 this weekend.

Green suffered a right knee sprain and bone bruising during LSU’s game against Ole Miss, causing him to miss every contest since.

Having racked up 222 receiving yards on 14 catches through just under 3 games, Green was well on his way to eclipsing his yardage mark from last season (433), and Kiffin will likely be thrilled to get the 6-foot-7 target back in the mix this weekend.

A native of Jackson, Louisiana, Green has been with LSU since 2024 but truly burst onto the scene for the Bayou Bengals in ’25. And with Kiffin’s passing attack having just posted 289 yards against Mississippi State, Green’s return may help Sam Leavitt & Co. continue to find their rhythm through the air.

The battle of the Tigers will kick off at noon ET, with the game being broadcast by ABC.
