Ed Orgeron has landed a big-time addition for 2018, but this time it isn’t a high school prospect.

Former Texas Tech WR Jonathan Giles has announced he will be transferring to LSU.

Giles will have to sit out the 2017 season, but he could be a big help to the Tigers’ passing game in 2018. As a sophomore last season at Texas Tech, he led the Red Raiders in receptions (69), yards (1,158) and touchdowns (13). Malachi Dupre, LSU’s leading receiver last season, had 41 receptions for 593 yards and three touchdowns.

As a class of 2015 prospect out of Missouri, Texas, Giles was rated a 3-star athlete by the 247Sports Composite. On the Texas Tech website, Giles is listed at 5-foot-11, 184 pounds.
