LSU freshman OL Donavaughn Campbell is scheduled to have shoulder surgery on Wednesday, which will keep him out for the Tigers’ bowl game on New Year’s Eve.
The backup guard announced his surgery on Twitter Tuesday night:

According to The Advocate, Campbell appeared in four games this season and was a main backup at the guard position. With C Ethan Pocic and G Josh Boutte leaving the team this offseason, Campbell could work his way into the starting lineup as a sophomore in 2017.
Post-surgery, Campbell hopes to be able to return to the field in time for spring practices.
