LSU will look to end a wild 2025 season on a positive note when they take on the Houston Cougars in the 2025 Texas Bowl.

However, LSU is set to be an underdog against Houston later this month. Per DraftKings, LSU is a 3-point underdog against Houston. The total for this game is currently set at 43.5.

LSU entered the season with big expectations, and the Tigers got off to a tremendous start behind an elite defense. The Tigers started off 4-0, getting up to No. 4 in the country before losing to Ole Miss on Sept. 27. LSU ultimately went just 7-5 during the regular season.

LSU’s offense was supposed to be one of the best in the country, but that side of the ball couldn’t find any consistency this year. That was a huge factor in why Brian Kelly was eventually let go.

The matchup against Houston will provide new head coach Lane Kiffin an opportunity to look at younger players on LSU’s roster ahead of a pivotal 2026 campaign.

This game will kick off on Dec. 27.
