LSU is hoping Lane Kiffin can get the Tigers back among the elite teams of college football after leading Ole Miss to a wave of success during his six seasons in Oxford.

Kiffin’s first game as head coach isn’t until 2026. But his hiring has led to plenty of interest in season tickets for LSU football, from the sounds of it. According to WAFB-TV’s Jacques Doucet, over 15,000 requests for season tickets have been made. Doucet adds that it’s led to more potential opportunities in fundraising and corporate opportunities.

Kiffin quoted Doucet’s post on Tuesday, adding the words “Thank you.”

The Tigers weren’t in terrible shape under Brian Kelly. However, they couldn’t find themselves able to compete near the top of the SEC, leading to his ouster.

In came Kiffin, after a long, protracted waiting period and off the back of leading Ole Miss to its first College Football Playoff appearance in program history. He’ll now look to return LSU to the Playoff for just the second time overall and for the first time since winning a national championship in 2019.

As for the Tigers’ home schedule in 2026, they face Clemson and McNeese. Alabama, Mississippi State, Texas, and Texas A&M also come to Death Valley as part of LSU’s conference slate.
