The back-and-forth talent transfer between Oxford and Baton Rouge continued Monday, as former LSU running back JT Lindsey is reportedly taking his services to Ole Miss.

CBS Sports reported that Lindsey, who did not play for the Tigers and thus took his redshirt year in 2025, will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Lindsey was arrested for accessory after the fact to second-degree murder in August 2025 after he allegedly allowed two men wanted for murder to stay in his dorm room. But the district attorney declined to pursue charges against Lindsey – freeing him up to compete for the Tigers.

A 3-star prospect according to 247Sports Composite, Lindsey starred at Alexandria (La.) High School in 2024 and chose to play at LSU over offers from UNLV, Northwestern, Memphis and others.

Lindsey will be reunited with former LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson, who took the same job at Ole Miss after serving as interim head coach following the firing of Brian Kelly. LSU went 2-3 under Wilson’s leadership, earning wins against Arkansas and Western Kentucky but losing games to then-No. 4 Alabama, then-No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 21 Houston in the Texas Bowl. The Tigers finished 7-6, and hired Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss in late November.
