Luke Kromenhoek committed to Mississippi State on Tuesday morning.
He joins the Bulldogs after spending 1 year at Florida State. A former 4-star prospect, Kromenhoek will now go play for Jeff Lebby in Starkville as the Bulldogs look to have a much better season in 2024.
Kromenhoek was the No. 59 overall recruit and the No. 5 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 9 player from the state of Georgia.
He was Florida State’s third-string quarterback in 2024, but he did see some playing time in the midst of the Noles’ 2-10 campaign. However, the results were mixed to say the least. He completed 44-of-84 passes for 502 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He averaged 6 yards per attempt through the air.
Kromenhoek will presumably compete for the Mississippi State starting QB job along side Blake Shapen next season. Shapen missed most of the 2024 season due to an injury, but has already announced his return for the 2025 campaign. Michael Van Burnen, who saw most of the playing time for Mississippi State this past season, is set to transfer to LSU.
