Undefeated Texas A&M took down host LSU 49-25 last weekend thanks to an outstanding game from sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed. Now we’ve learned that one of his top plays from the win came at blazing speed.

According to Reel Analytics, Reed had the 6th-fastest time during Week 9 at 20.3 miles per hour. This occurred on Reed’s 40-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter which was the Aggies’ first score of the game.

The 6-foot-1 Reed passed for 2 touchdowns while also rushing for 108 yards and 2 scores. This season, the Nashville native has passed for 1,972 yards with 17 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, along with the nation’s 21st-best QBR (76.3). Reed has rushed for 349 yards and 6 touchdowns this season.

Reed began his college career at Texas A&M in 2023. After seeing limited action his first season, Reed took over the starting position last year. Reed was regarded by 247Sports as the No. 20 quarterback in the nation coming out of high school.

Next up for Reed and Texas A&M after the bye week is a matchup at No. 19 Missouri on Nov. 8. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on ABC.
