Marcus Denmon narrated a hype video for the Missouri Tigers ahead of their much-anticipated matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks.

The 7-2 Tigers are taking on the 8-1 Jayhawks in the 2023 Border Showdown.

The video starts by showing highlights from Denmon’s career, with the guard declaring it’s “them vs. us.”

“We don’t like them, and they don’t like us,” Denmon declared. “This year, we’re headed to that school out west. And we definitely won’t be spending a dime while we’re there.”

The last time the Tigers defeated the Jayhawks was in the 2011-12 season. Denmon was the star for Mizzou in that game, finishing with 29 points and 9 rebounds. Since the Tigers moved over to the SEC, the teams have only played twice, with Kansas dominating in both the 2021-22 matchup and the 2022-23 matchup.

Overall, the Tigers have won 95 times in the series compared to the Jayhawks’ 174 wins.

In 2023-24, the Tigers have several noteworthy victories. The team fell to the Jackson State Tigers and the Memphis Tigers, but has impressive wins over Wichita State, Minnesota, and Pittsburgh.

The old rivals will tip off at 5:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
