LSU G Trae Hannibal did not log any playing time for the Tigers last time out, but coach Matt McMahon expects him to be back for the midweek contest with Mississippi State.

Per Sheldon Mickles of The Advocate, McMahon said it was his decision to not play Hannibal in the 79-69 loss. McMahon said the decision was based on practice and game prep, which does not appear to be an issue this week.

Hannibal, a two-time transfer, has made 22 appearances, including 3 starts, for LSU this season. He’s averaging 6.9 points per game on 45% field-goal shooting over 457 minutes during the 2022-23 campaign. Hannibal last appeared in LSU’s 87-77 loss to Missouri on Feb. 1, scoring 11 points in the game.

LSU is 12-11 overall and 1-9 in SEC play. The Tigers will look to end a 10-game losing skid on Wednesday when they take on the Bulldogs.
