Preseason Maxwell Award watch list is loaded with SEC players

Watch list season continues to roll on with the latest preseason list coming from the Maxwell Award.

The award has been given out annually since 1937 to the nation’s best overall player and is named after Robert W. (Tiny) Maxwell, legendary college player, official and sports columnist. The award is voted on by head coaches, Maxwell Football Club members, as well as media members.

The Southeastern Conference has captured the two most recent Maxwell Awards as Joe Burrow won the honor in 2019 and Tua Tagovailoa won it in 2018.

Here is a complete list of the players hailing from the SEC that made the 2020 Maxwell Award watch list.
