A few Miami fans used an interesting method to get their point across to the 12 members of the CFP selection committee.

On Saturday, Miami supporters flew an aerial banner near the CFP hotel in Grapevine, Texas. As you can see below, the banner reads, “H2H Matters. Miami in!”

Would you expect anything less from college football fans?

Obviously, the selection committee has a few really tough decisions to make across the next 24 hours, with many of those decisions surrounding 2 schools alongside Miami: Notre Dame and BYU. The latter of these schools plays on Saturday in the Big 12 championship game against Texas Tech. A BYU loss would make the committee’s decision even tougher.

Which brings us to the banner. The Hurricanes beat Notre Dame early this season, but sit behind Notre Dame and BYU in the latest CFP rankings. If BYU loses the title game to Texas Tech and drops, how could Miami not be ahead of Notre Dame given similar record and the Hurricanes’ head-to-head win? At the same time, should BYU be punished for playing in the Big 12 Championship game while Miami and Notre Dame sit at home?

Soon, the committee will make their decision. The College Football Playoff selection show is set to go live at Noon ET on Sunday, December 7.
