The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the Chicago Bears provided fans with one of the wildest series of events in the NFL this season.
On third down, Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston dropped back and was chased all the way back to the end zone by a pack of defenders. The play, which looked doomed to end in an embarrassingย safety, took a dramatic turn when Winston managed to free himself of the pressure for just long enough to lob a pass downfield.
His intended target was former Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans, who leaped into the air and hauled in the 39-yard pass. The play looked reminiscent of those seen in backyard football gamesย and is definitely a must-see.
