Nicholson shared the announcement on social media.
“After a lot of prayer and conversation with my family, I’m going to decommit from Mississippi State University. “I appreciate all the coaches at Mississippi State for the opportunity to be a part of their program. They definitely aren’t ruled out in my recruiting process, I just want NO doubt in my mind on my decision. My recruitment is 100% open! Let’s keep elevating!! -D1”
Nicholson, who committed to the Bulldogs on July 6, has a reported 9 offers, and is ranked the No. 1 JUCO cornerback in the class of 2022, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.
The Osceola reported that schools that are standing out most to Nicholson other than Mississippi State, are Baylor, Louisiana and Florida State . He plans to take multiple visits to some of these schools before signing day, and he holds offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky and Southern Miss.
